In this Apulian strip of land between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, spreads out the Valle d'Itria territory. It is a pleasant countryside plain abundant with "trulli" (trullo houses) and small houses where people live all year round.
In this fairy-tale atmosphere is set Alberobello, capital town of the "Trulli", a suggestive sight of what has been declared a "national monument": Rione Monti quarter, Rione Aia Piccola quarter, Trullo Siamese, Trullo Sovrano, Casa d'Amore.
The life of the extraordinary Peasant culture is expressed by these particular cone shaped houses, with roofs marked with quicklime pagan and christian symbols, and their kind inhabitants who invite tourists to visit their peculiar houses.
