The archeological sites close to some of the lakes are of great interest, like Torre di Castiglione and Agnano. Here you can visit the archeological sites and walk through the "Strade Vicinali" (neighbourhood roads) which lead to the remarkable "masserie", typical examples of the rural architecture and culture. The fauna is represented by the typical birds and mammals of the rural areas, plus an abundant list of amphibians and reptiles such as Cervone (four-lined snake), Leopard snake, Triturus italico, Italian Toad, Green toad, European grass snake.
